Police searching for armed robber

Goldsboro police are searching for an unknown suspect who robbed a woman at gunpoint, who was walking near 1002 S. Slocumb St. on Thursday.
The victim described the suspect as a 5-foot-5-inch black man, weighing 150 pounds carrying a rifle. The suspect was wearing a red shirt and a dark hat according to the report.
The victim was walking home from Poplar Street when the suspect walked out of a wooded area and stole keys, a black purse, $2 and a digital Canon camera.
The suspect left the area and headed east on Newsome Street.
"We have no additional information at this time," Maj. Anthony Carmen with the Goldsboro Police Department said on Friday. Carmen also says there have been no related incidents in the past few months.
