Cregan top of class at NCSU

Cory Cregan
Cory Cregan of Goldsboro was named a 2016 class valedictorian at North Carolina State University, where graduation ceremonies were held May 7.
He graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 grade-point average and a degree of science in chemical engineering, and both a concentration and minor in biomanufacturing sciences. He graduated from Arendell Parrott Academy in Kinston in 2012.
Other distinctions earned while he was in college included being a member of Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society, and Omega Chi Epsilon, the chemical engineering honor society.
His future plans include using his degree to enter the industry in either pharmaceuticals, process engineering or technical operations.
He is the son of Dr. Kevin Cregan and Laura Lynn Cregan of Goldsboro.
