Suspect wanted in shooting

A local man is wanted for attempted first-degree murder after allegedly shooting a man at 710-B N. Virginia St. on Friday.

Nigell Jerome Honeycutt, 28, allegedly shot 40-year-old Kelly Dawayne Fuller and inflicted non-life threatening injuries.

Fuller, of 706 N. Virginia St., was found sitting in a white minivan outside the location of the incident and was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Goldsboro police responded to a 911 call from an unidentified person about a shooting just before 11 a.m. Friday. There is currently no suspected motive for the shooting.

Honeycutt is considered armed and dangerous.
