Two shoot into vehicle

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating a shooting on Slaughter Street that happened Tuesday night.
Police officers were patrolling Olivia Lane when they heard shots fired around 11 p.m., and then saw a vehicle speeding away from the area.
Officers pursued the vehicle and located it in the Evergreen Apartments on Evergreen Avenue.
The driver and passenger of the vehicle told the officers they were sitting in the 800 block of Slaughter Street when two unknown suspects walked up to the vehicle and began firing into it.
The vehicle's occupants fled the scene after the unknown suspects began shooting into the vehicle.
Nobody was injured as a result of the shooting.
Bullets struck the vehicle's rear windshield, a tire and an unspecified door, causing an estimated $850 worth of damage to the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.
According to a police report, one of the unknown suspects was wearing a blue hoodie at the time of the shooting.
