On Monday at approximately 10 p.m. Cpl. Jackson of the Goldsboro Police Department pulled into the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store located at 1403 Wayne Memorial Drive to conduct a business check and discovered the business being robbed as he pulled into the location.
The suspects left the business on foot and fired shots as they ran through a wooded area.
Later investigation revealed the suspects had entered the store, pointed guns at the victims inside the store and were forced to open the safe at gunpoint.
The suspects also fired a weapon inside the business in an effort to rush the victims while getting the money out of the safe.
Additional Officers from the Goldsboro Police Department and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrived in the area and three suspects were arrested.
