Bike MS and the Trail and River Rovers of Eastern North Carolina (TRREC) will host a Mini Golf for Multiple Sclerosis event April 2 at Larry Bill's Fun Time Golf in Goldsboro.
Games of mini golf will cost $7, while bumper car rides will be $3. For each game of mini golf played, the Larry Bill's will donate $2 to the National MS Society, and $1 will be donated for each bumper car ride.
Event organizer Paige Rouse said that last year's event brought in around 80 people, some of whom took part in multiple games. Ms. Rouse said she hopes to draw an even bigger crowd this year.
"We've been on social media a lot, trying to get the word out more." she said.
TRREC is an outdoor recreation group originally founded in Greenville. The group regularly schedules events through their meetup.com page, and has taken to social media in an effort to spread their message.
Bike MS holds events over the country. Riders go separately or form teams to raise money from sponsors, and then ride along pre-planned routes.
Mini Golf for MS runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled for Sunday, April 3, at 1 p.m.
