Wayne County Public Schools officials have announced a make-up day schedule after closing schools this past Friday due to inclement weather.
After reviewing local options, administrators developed a plan for the district's three academic calendars.
The make-up day for students on the traditional calendar and at Wayne Early/Middle College High and Wayne School of Engineering will be Feb. 15. That date was originally scheduled to be a teacher workday.
Students at Dillard Middle School will make up the day on June 9, extending their term by one day. The extra student day was added because of a limited number of teacher workdays and because school was already scheduled to be in session on Feb. 15, officials said.
The last day for students, now June 9, will be an early release day.
Printable copies of the three revised school calendars are available on the district website at www.waynecountyschools.org.
