The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating two shootings that took place in the city Monday night.

Neither victim suffered life threatening injury, nor are the two cases related, investigators said.

Police first responded to the 2000 block of Day Circle where Antonio Montrell Moore, 31, of North Pineview Avenue was found shot twice in the lower back and once in the right buttock, according to a police report. Wayne County EMS transported Moore to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

The second shooting took place at about 11:49 p.m. as unknown suspects fired into adjoining apartments at 902 A and 902 B Hugh St. Police located Tyshon Riekwon Bryant, 18, on the porch of the residence with a gunshot wound to the elbow and a graze wound to the lower right side of his back, the report said. Several of the occupants were home at the time of the shooting including three juveniles whose names are not listed on the report.

Bryant was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne County EMS.

Maj. Anthony Carmon said investigators have not yet developed suspects in either case.

"Neither victim said they could ID the shooter," Carmon said.

Both cases remain open and the investigations are ongoing.
