State, local government offices to close for Christmas and New Year

State offices will be closed Dec. 23 through 25 and on Jan. 1. while federal offices, banks and post offices will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Goldsboro city office will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, and on New Year's Day, Jan. 1.
Wayne County Public Schools dismissed early on Dec. 18. There are no classes from Dec. 21 through Jan. 1.
The schools' central office will be closed Dec. 23 through 25 and on Jan. 1.
Wayne County offices, the libraries and courts will be closed Dec. 23, 24 and 25.
The landfill and convenience centers that are normally closed on Wednesdays will be open Wednesday, Dec. 23.
They will be closed on Dec. 24, 25 and 30 and Jan. 1.
Mount Olive town offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 23, Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25, for Christmas and on Friday, Jan. 1, for New Year's Day.
Yard waste pickup will be completed this coming Monday and Tuesday.
Household garbage will be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and Saturday, Dec. 26.
During New Year's week all yard waste will be picked up Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The Recyclable Center will be open on Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 26, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Eureka Town Hall will be closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Town halls in Fremont and Pikeville will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 and Jan. 1.
The Walnut Creek Village Office will be closed Dec. 24 and 25. Recyclables will be picked up on Dec. 26. The office also will be closed Jan. 1
The Peggy Seegars Senior Center will be closed Dec. 23 through 26 and Jan. 1.
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24. The last bus will leave the transfer station at 2:30 p.m.
It will be closed on Christmas Day.
The system will operate on a normal schedule on Thursday, Dec. 31. It will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6;30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 1. The last bus will leave the transfer station at 5:30 p.m.
Carolina Southern Sanitation will be closed Christmas Day. Garbage pickup scheduled for Friday will be picked up Saturday instead.
