Driver taken to hospital after school bus wreck

A school bus accident early this morning resulted in the bus driver being taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Princeton-Pikeville Road and U.S. Highway 581, according to Ken Derksen, director of communication services for Wayne County Public Schools.
"The school bus was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler," he said. "The school bus was from Edgewood Community Developmental School."
He estimated there were seven students on the bus at the time, with no injuries reported to the students.
