Two charged in break-in

PIKEVILLE -- Two men have been arrested in connection with a break-in at a Pikeville home.

Pikeville police have charged Joshua Stewart Allen, 19, of 102 W. Vail St., with two counts of larceny of a firearm, breaking and entering, larceny of a credit card, three counts of larceny of chose in action, uttering instrument and forgery of instrument, all felonies, and three misdemeanor counts of larceny.

Allen was placed under a $10,000 secured bond.

Bryce Reynolds Creger, 22, of 102 Summerdale Drive, was charged with possession of a stolen firearm and placed under a $1,500 secured bond.

A majority of the items were recovered including one of the two stolen firearms.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending for several other suspects believed to have been involved, Pikeville Police Det. S.R. Jarman said.

Jarman said the thefts occurred from early October until Nov. 26 when they were reported to police.
