The KFC restaurant at 700 E. Ash St. was robbed at gunpoint just after 8 p.m. Monday, according to a Goldsboro Police Department report.
Manager Windell Scarboro told police that an unknown black male entered the restaurant with an unknown type of shotgun and demanded money from the cash register.
Ms. Scarboro told police that the suspect entered through the door on the restaurant's west side. He was wearing a gray hoodie, a white shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and had his face covered with a black bandana.
The suspect allegedly forced Ms. Scarboro to open the register while holding her at gunpoint, took the money and fled northwest on foot away from the scene of the crime.
It is unknown how much money the robber took from the business's cash register.
