Walmart, Target and Belk were all victims of larceny over the weekend.
Walmart and Target were each hit twice, with a total of 29 items worth $474.90 being taken from Target at 1204 Sunburst Drive, and a total of two items worth $54.89 being taken from Walmart at 2908 U.S. 70 West.
William Earl Kornegay Jr., 44, of 2870 Old Smithfield Road, Princeton, has been named by the Goldsboro Police Department as a suspect in one of the two reported larcenies at Walmart. No suspect is named in the second larceny, but the suspect is described as a white male in his 50s and about 5 feet 6 inches tall.
Both suspects in the larceny cases reported at Target were stopped before leaving the premises. In the first reported case, Miranda Nichole Middleton, 18, of 1753 U.S. 117 South, took a purse from inside the store and began concealing items inside of it before attempting to leave the store. Ms. Middleton was stopped by an employee as she tried to leave the store, was compliant after being confronted and was issued a citation.
In the second reported larceny at Target, Randi Marie Cranny, 21, of 1376 Gurley Dairy Road, Pikeville, put items in a cart and walked out of the store without paying. Ms. Cranny was detained by Target's loss prevention team until police arrived. She was arrested by the Goldsboro Police Department and charged with larceny.
Austin Lee Grant, 17, of 1602 Boyette Drive, entered Belk at 617 N. Berkeley Boulevard Friday night and went to the fitting room to try on a jacket. An employee reported to police that Grant left the dressing room without the jacket in his hand, and had concealed the item underneath the jacket he was already wearing.
Grant was cited for misdemeanor larceny by the Goldsboro Police Department and released into his parent's custody.
