Deputies say little about death

FAISON -- The Sampson County Sheriff's Office said today it has no further information to release in the investigation of a man found dead inside a residence outside the town of Faison after 10 p.m. Sunday.
The incident took place at 144 Calvin Hobbs Road.
According to a press release issued Monday, Sampson deputies responded to a shooting at the residence and upon arrival found the victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
"We have nothing further to release at this time," Lt. Marcus Smith said. "We still have some notifications to do," he said.
The victim has not yet been identified publicly. The sheriff's office is conducting a death investigation and the death has not been ruled a homicide.
