Arrests made in shooting

With their guns drawn, Goldsboro police Friday night surrounded a house on Brazil Street where two men had fled after allegedly shooting a third man in the leg.
Police pounded on the front door and the two men, Fiante Semaj Amerson, 24, and Carlton Jackson III, 25, surrendered without incident.
Jackson, of 2206 Koonce St., was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, both felonies, and assault with a deadly weapon, a misdemeanor. He was jailed under a $6,000 secured bond.
Amerson, of 213 Nancy Drive, Dudley, was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, both felonies, assault with a deadly weapon, simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of marijuana paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
He was jailed under a $13,000 secured bond.
Police were first called to the scene of the shooting in the 100 block of Brazil Street just before 7 p.m. Friday.
Christopher Antwan McClarin, 27, of 900 Apt. F-2 Evergreen Ave., told police he was walking along the street when an unknown suspect(s) shot him in the left leg
Police said the bullet, which was fired from a white passenger car, grazed McClarin's lower left leg.
He was taken to the Wayne Memorial Hospital Emergency Room by Wayne County EMS where he was treated and released.
After the shooting, the two suspects fled to a house at 114 Brazil St.
A search warrant was secured and the house searched.
Two guns that had been reported stolen were recovered.
One was a Glock .45 caliber valued at $600 belonging to Richard Dell Best, 62, of 174 Salem Church Road.
The other was a Highpoint .380 pistol valued at $200 belonging to Ashley Nicole Champion, 21, of 278 Potts Road, Dudley.
