Versiera Miller

A Pikeville resident and adjunct professor for Wesleyan College Goldsboro Campus is under arrest this morning on charges of felony larceny by employee.

Versiera Miller, 44, 602 Planters Ridge Drive, is being held in the Wayne County Detention Center under a $1,500 secured bond.

Mrs. Miller is charged with the theft of $1,302 in textbooks from the campus located at 1101 Parkway Drive, according to a press release.

The theft was first reported to the Goldsboro Police Department July 6. A subsequent investigation determined a staff member using her staff identification to enter a secured area was responsible for the theft of the textbooks. Mrs. Miller was identified and picked up by the Wayne County Sheriff's office Tuesday.

She is scheduled for a first appearance in Wayne County District Court this morning.
