Police arrest NCIS fugitive

A fugitive from the U.S. Navy is in the custody of the Goldsboro Police Department today.Tiffani Danielle Bass-Armstrong, 23, 102 Oxford Blvd., is being held on a fugitive warrant at the request of Naval Criminal Investigative Services.
"We got a request from NCIS to see if we could locate her," Maj. Anthony Carmon said.
The request was made Tuesday. Goldsboro police caught up with Mrs. Bass-Armstrong Tuesday at a a residence at 103 S. Marion Drive.
Carmon said he was not certain if the suspect was originally from Goldsboro or was simply here hiding out.
"I can't say for sure. I was led to believe she had some family here," he said.
Mrs. Bass-Armstrong is being held in the Wayne County Detention Center without bond awaiting extradition by the U.S. Marshals Service.
