The Wayne County Sheriff's announced this morning arrests in two separate methamphetamine manufacturing operations. One group of suspects was tracked all the way to Louisiana.
According to a press release issued today, the Wayne County Drug Task Force and the State Bureau of Investigation are continuing a joint investigation into the illegal manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine in Goldsboro and Wayne County.
A search warrant was obtained for a Dudley residence earlier this week resulting in the arrest of one suspect.
Justin Lee Blizzard, 31, 161 Brook Terrace Road, is charged with one count each of manufacturing meth, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as three counts of possession of a meth precursor.
His bond has not yet been released.
In an unrelated case, a Pikeville man and woman are currently being held in a Louisiana jail awaiting extradition back to N.C. on charges of manufacturing meth.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted several weeks ago at the couple's residence at 167 E Buggy St. in Pikeville.
Bruce Nicholas Parrish, 37, and Kristen Renee Little are both charged with manufacturing meth both in Wayne County and in Louisiana.
On June 1, the State Bureau of Investigation and Wayne County Drug Squad seized a meth lab in the Buggy Street residence. Parrish and Ms. Little managed to evade capture.
"We thought we had them but they ran on us and we had to track them down," Maj. Tom Effler said.
According to the press release, Parrish and Little will be prosecuted in Louisiana first, then sent back to N.C. to face local charges.
