On Sunday, May 3 at 7 p.m. Goldsboro police officers responded to shots being fired in the 1000 block of North James Street.
The officers' investigation led to the discovery of two churches being damaged by gunfire.
The churches listed as damaged were the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Deliverance at 1015 N. James St. and St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church at 206 Pearson Street.
Property damage was listed at both locations.
No injuries were reported.
