The Maxway store on Center Street was broken into and robbed Monday night, according to a Goldsboro police report. A brick was thrown through a window and several TVs were stolen. It was the fifth time the store has been robbed since December.
A brick thrown through a storefront window at the Maxway retail store located at 125 S. Center St. allowed thieves to make off with three flat screen LED televisions, according to a Goldsboro police report.
This marks the fifth time since December someone has smashed a window at the business in the heart of downtown Goldsboro and stolen one or more televisions from inside the store.
The store was first broken into Dec. 29, 2014.
Then, on Jan. 19, and again just a few hours later in the early morning hours of Jan. 21, unknown subjects broke in again. Most recently prior to Monday, on Feb. 16, a similar incident occurred.
Monday's break-in cost the business $488 in stolen property and $250 in damage.
Officials with the police department said after the February break-in that leads had been developed in the case and were being followed up.
Requests for comment regarding Monday's break-in were not responded to by press time.
