Lenten services begin this week and run until April 1

The Community Lenten services begin this week and will continue over the weeks leading up to Easter.
The annual event is led by CLIFF, Clergy Living In Faith and Fellowship, the local ministers association. They take place each Wednesday at noon from Feb. 18-April 1 at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1065 Tommy's Road. Lunch is provided at no charge, with an offering taken to benefit local ministries.
Below is the schedule of speakers and liturgists for the coming weeks.
*Feb. 18, Preacher Joe Jackson and Liturgist Glenn Phillips, with lunch provided by Best Grove.
*Feb. 25, Preacher Jim Harry and Liturgist James Taneti, lunch by St. Paul.
*March 4, Preacher Winford Galmon and Liturgist Jimm Beimdiek, lunch by Mt. Calvary.
*March 11, Preacher Fred Clark and Liturgist Alice Davis, lunch by First Christian.
*March 18, Preacher Leigh Gillis and Liturgist Bob Fulkerson, lunch by First Presbyterian.
*March 25, Preacher Anthony Slater and Liturgist Kenny Iglehart, lunch by Tehilla Church.
*April 1, Preacher George Cromwell and Liturgist Sandy Schaller, no lunch (fasting).
