Spring Creek Pageant will feature five contestants

The 8th Miss Spring Creek Scholarship Pageant will be held at Byrd Assembly Hall in Mount Olive at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased from any contestant or Mrs. Kellie Davis at Spring Creek High School.
The contestants are:
* Emily Kornegay, junior, daughter of Danny & Teresa Kornegay, performing a clarinet solo. Jessica Gleason, junior, daughter of Roy & Laure Gleason, performing a dance solo.
* Maygan Jackson, junior, daughter of Craig & Jan Jackson, performing a dance solo.
* Quintequa Weaver, senior, daughter of Quincina & Jarvis Davis, performing a dance solo. Cassie Alphin, junior, daughter of Van & Susan Alphin, performing a dance solo.
* Helen Santizo, junior , daughter of Jacob & Juanita Santizo, performing a dance solo.
* Rheanna Ried, junior, daughter of Nancy Holland, performing a mime. Cora Head, senior, guardians Ross Head Jr. & Sandra Head, performing a vocal solo. Grace West, junior, daughter of Tim & Jodi West, performing a violin solo.
Miss Spring Creek 2014, Anna Newsome, will crown the new Miss Spring Creek 2015. Spring Creek will award a total of $4,000 in cash scholarships, payable to the college attended, to the top three contestants. Miss Spring Creek 2015 will also receive a $2,500 in-kind scholarship to the University of Mount Olive, $2,000 to the 1st runner up, and $1,500 to the 2nd runner up.
