A Goldsboro man is being held under a $500,000 bond after his arrest on Friday as the result of a sexual assault investigation that was launched against him in August 2013.
James Lee McLaurin, 54, of 811 Argo St., is being held in the Wayne County Jail for several charges pending a first appearance in court.
McLaurin is charged with statutory rape, incest with a child and indecent liberties with a child. All three charges are felonies.
A true bill of indictment against him was handed down by the county grand jury on Jan. 5, and he was apprehended Friday at his home.
The State Bureau of Investigation assisted Goldsboro police with the investigation.
