Two charged in local meth bust

Two Goldsboro residents have been jailed under a total of more than $1 million in bonds in connection with charges relating to the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Jarvis Christopher Chase, 43, and Millie Edwards, 41, both of 714 National Drive, were charged by Goldsboro police with the manufacture of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine precursors and maintaining a dwelling for the manufacture of methamphetamine. All three charges are felonies.

The police report did not note where the drug was being made.

Ms. Edwards was placed under a $500,000 secured bond and was also charged with an order for arrest/failure to appear that carries another $1,000 in bond for a total bond of $501,000.

Chase was placed under a $500,000 secured bond as well and was also charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and an order for arrest/failure to appear.

The additional charges carry another $5,000 in bonds making his total bond $505,000.
