A Goldsboro High School student was charged with disorderly conduct and simple possession of marijuana following a public disturbance at the high school Monday.
Denzel Rashad Dancy, 17, 804 Isler St., was released to his mother after being charged, according to a Goldsboro police report.
Dancy allegedly refused to comply with instructions from the assistant principal and became disruptive. He is quoted on the police report as having cursed at the administrator and then saying, "Everybody is going to die one day."
Dancy was taken into custody by School Resource Officer Nicky Artis, who found Dancy in possession of a small plastic bag containing marijuana, the report said.
Dancy is due in Wayne County District Court Jan. 21.
