A Mount Olive man charged with selling marijuana might soon face additional charges, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.
Eddie Carroll Lewis, 55, 2173 Indian Springs Road, is charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Members of the sheriff's office Aggressive Crime Enforcement and SWAT Teams, along with C and D shift patrol deputies executed a search warrant on Lewis' home Friday and found marijuana, guns and cash.
Maj. Tom Effler said the search warrant was executed as part of an ongoing investigation that could net further arrests and additional charges against Lewis.
"They are still investigating it, so they may have more on him by the time they are through. A lot of times they can bring more charges at the grand jury," Effler said. Deputies placed Lewis in the Wayne County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in Wayne County District Court later today.
