A Goldsboro man told police that he was shot in his arm Wednesday night by a suspect that he believes is a gang member.
Christopher Lee Pride, 25, 414 Daisy St. Apt. A, told police he was walking along Beech Street near the Fast Trip store around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday when he was approached by a man wearing a ski mask and dressed all in black.
Pride said the man shot him in his right arm next to his elbow.
When the gun failed to fire a second time, the suspect threw it and fled toward William Street.
The suspect was described as wearing a T-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.
Pride said he could see skin around the man's eyes and that he appeared to be a dark-skinned black man whom he believes is a gang member.
The police report did not mention if Pride was taken to the hospital, or if the weapon had been recovered.
