Rain, warmth and snow do not mix well.
To that end, the Downtown Goldsboro Development Corp. rescheduled the annual Downtown Lights Up! that was scheduled to unfold Tuesday evening.
The event will now take place Dec. 2.
But other than the date, nothing else about Lights Up! has changed.
The DGDC will still haul tons of snow to Center Street.
Santa will still make an appearance.
Trolley rides will be offered and carols will be sung.
And Mayor Al King will, when he gets the signal, still cut on the lights that line downtown's main street.
City officials expect more than 2,000 people to attend the event -- an affair that will include face painting, trolley rides, warm beverages and treats.
