One victim is stable and another is in critical condition following an early morning shooting Saturday, Goldsboro police officials said.

Fiante Semaj Amerson, 24, of Seymour Drive, and Tyshea Symond Koonce, 19, were shot while standing in the driveway at 1100 Porter St., at 12:45 a.m.

No suspects are listed on the police report.

Amerson is in critical condition at an undisclosed medical facility, Sgt. Jeremy Sutton said.

"I don't need anybody knowing where he is at right now," Sutton said.

Bullets also struck the residence and a nearby Saturn Ion.

Both victims were initially transported by Wayne County EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Sutton gave no indication as to the motive for the shooting or who might have been involved.

The investigation is ongoing.
