Murder victim identified

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the murder victim discovered in her home Monday evening.
The body of Donna Diane Simpson, 49, of 301 Leavie Drive, near Pikeville, was found in the back bedroom of her home shortly after 9 p.m. after investigators received a tip.
Her alleged boyfriend, Clifton Wayne Griffin, 49, has reportedly confessed to her murder and is in custody.
