An investigator works the scene of a shooting that unfolded in the Rosewood Walmart parking lot Saturday evening.
A teenager was allegedly shot in the Rosewood Walmart parking lot Saturday evening, but the Goldsboro Police Department is releasing few details about the incident.
As of press time, investigators were still at the scene and Chief Jeff Stewart said his officers were following protocol by not immediately releasing any details about the shooting to the newspaper.
The lead investigator in the case was identified as Steve Harmon.
When asked about the incident, Harmon declined to comment on the condition or identity of the victim.
When contacted, Stewart said he would attempt to get additional information about the case and return a call to the News-Argus.
An hour later, at press time, no such call had been received.
