Kinston man shot in city

A Kinston man shot in Goldsboro Sunday has been released from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Goldsboro police have yet to identify a suspect in the shooting.
Officers were called to the 200 block of North Carolina Street Sunday at 3:12 p.m. after reports of shots fired in the area. While en route, the call was upgraded to a person possibly shot.
When they arrived at the scene, police located Tiquan Murrell Williams, 18, of Kinston, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Williams was taken by Wayne County EMS to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
The investigation is ongoing.
