Wayne County sheriff's deputies are looking for a woman who has been missing since Independence Day.

Patsy Mitchell McMillan, 49, of 414 E. Hall St. in Wallace, has not been seen since relatives left her at the bus terminal in Dudley July 4 with a ticket to New York.

According to a press release issued Friday by the sheriff's office, Ms. McMillan arrived in Goldsboro July 3 to visit family. A relative and his girlfriend allegedly dropped her off the next day at the bus terminal. The couple left after watching her buy the ticket to New York City.

Witnesses recall seeing the ticket stamped with "New York City" on it, the release said.

Ms. McMillan was last seen waiting to board the bus. She is described as five feet three inches tall, weighing 120 pounds with salt and pepper hair and a gold outline around one front tooth.

She was last seen wearing brown sandals and capri pants, a red and orange stripped shirt and glasses.

Anyone with information regarding Ms. McMillan's whereabouts is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 919-731-1480 or Deputy Amy Walston at 919-731-1189.
