18-year-old arrested for statutory rape

An 18-year-old Seven Springs man faces charges of statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office press release.
The act was not forced, the report said.
Cody Lee Bishop, of 2915 A Indian Springs Road, allegedly engaged in a consensual sexual act with the victim in January.
Bishop is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
According to the press release, the incident took place at the home of a mutual friend.
