A Wayne County woman arrested May 13 by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on charges of possession of methamphetamine faces new charges of possession of a meth precursor following a second arrest Thursday.
Jennifer Howell Bannorra, 41, 1717 U.S. Highway 70 W, is charged with two counts of possession of a meth precursor. She is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail under a $40,000 secured bond.
Detectives with the Goldsboro/Wayne County Interagency Drug Task Force searched Mrs. Howell Bannorra's residence when she was first charged and found evidence suggesting she was collecting pseudoephedrine for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine, according to a press release.
Continued surveillance of Mrs. Howell Bannorra at local pharmacies confirmed the detective's suspicions, the release said.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop and search, to which she consented, during which deputies found multiple boxes of pseudoephedrine.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the report. Additional arrests are expected.
