Armed robber hits city market

The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of the D&C Mini Mart, 1007 E. Elm St., that took place at just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to the report, a black man with braids entered the store, brandished a gun and demanded money.
Store owner Noraldin Mohamed Abdulwahab, 50, was seated at a game machine when the gunman entered.
He told police the man patted him down and discovered he was armed. The suspect removed the store owner's weapon and forced him behind the counter.
He then made Angela Hamilton Abdulwahab, 58, empty both her pockets and the cash register while her husband emptied the lottery register, according to the report.
The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money, as well as a silver and black .380 semi-automatic pistol.
He fled east on foot toward Dail Street and is described as 6 feet tall with braids.
