Tornadoes reported 50 miles from Wayne County

The closest report sighting of a possible tornado was just over 50 miles away in Sampson County, with a second one about the same distance away but in Edgecombe County, said Ryan Ellis, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Raleigh.
"They have not been confirmed yet and we are sending out survey teams today," he said. "One tracked across Sampson County at Salemburg."
Salemburg is approximately 53 miles southwest of Goldsboro and just northwest of Clinton. Edgecombe County is about 52 miles northeast of Goldsboro.
