A Goldsboro woman told police she did not initially report a gunman forcing his way into her home and making her file his taxes at gunpoint, until the man returned a week later for corrections to be made, according to a police report.

Melissa Ann Delagrange, 36, 1903 Palm St., told Goldsboro police investigators that a man with a gun knocked on her back door at about 8 p.m. on April 10.

She opened the door and let him in and he placed a gun to her head, demanding she file his taxes online.

Ms. Delagrange sat down and filed the tax return at her computer while the man held a gun on her, the report said.

The man left when she completed the return, after which Ms. Delagrange decided she would not report the intrusion, considering it to be a one-time incident, according to the report.

She reconsidered, however, when the man showed back up the following week demanding that corrections be made to the filing, the report said.

Ms. Delagrange reported the incident to police on Friday at 4:30 p.m.

The alleged gunman is neither identified nor described in the report.

The estimated return for the filed taxes is listed at $15,000.
