'American Idol Live!' tour announces summer dates

The American Idol Live! Tour has been announced, with one summer date planned in North Carolina.
Majesty Rose, the popular Goldsboro contestant who made it into the Top 10 for Season 13, will be part of the 41-city tour which kicks off June 24.
Tickets for the tour go on sale May 9 at the American Idol website.
The itinerary has the group traveling from upstate New York and Ontario, Canada, to Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, South Carolina and Florida.
The sole concert in Majesty's home state will be July 13 at Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham.
One contestant from North Carolina remains in the competition. Caleb Johnson of Asheville is still among the six finalists.
Majesty's run on "American Idol" came to an end March 27, positioning her in ninth place for the season.
She will reunite with the other contestants during the season finale, which airs Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20 and 21. The Tuesday airing will be broadcast from 8-9 p.m., with the two finalists performing. Part two, during which the winner will be announced, will air from 8-10 p.m. on May 21.
