Beavers named valedictorian at NCSU

James J. Beavers of Seven Springs has been named a valedictorian at North Carolina State University.
Beavers will graduate from the school in May with a perfect 4.0 average in computer science after just three years.
He was named to the dean's list every semester.
Following graduation, Beavers plans to work toward earning his master's degree in computer science.
He also has been named a Goodnight Scholar, a State Employee's Credit Union Scholar, a Robert C. Byrd Scholar, a member of the University Honors Program and the Society for the Refinement of Polyvarietal Entertainment.
He is the son of Thoma and Joyce Beavers of Seven Springs and is a graduate of Spring Creek High School, where he also was named valedictorian upon graduation.
