A Goldsboro man shot twice in the leg while walking in the 1100 block of Lemon Street just after 11:30 p.m. Monday told Goldsboro police he did not know who shot him.
Dana Andrew Humphrey, 23, 601 S. Oleander Ave., and Decarlos Lopez Hamilton, 42, 916 E. Elm St., flagged down officers responding to Lemon Street after receiving reports of shots fired.
Humphrey had been shot twice in the leg.
Humphrey and Hamilton told investigators they had been walking through the cut, a path that runs between Dail Street and Linwood Avenue. As they walked out on Lemon Street, the two men saw a person dressed in all black walking toward them, according to the report.
The unknown subject opened fire, striking Humphrey twice, and then fled on foot heading east toward Pineview Avenue, the report said.
Wayne County EMS responded and transported Humphrey to Wayne Memorial Hospital where he was treated for his wounds.
Goldsboro police processed the crime scene. There are no suspects listed on the report.
