Annual community Lent services start Wednesday

Goldsboro's annual Community Lent services start Wednesday.
They will be held at noon at Madison Avenue Baptist Church, and are sponsored by Clergy Living in Faith and Fellowship. This year's theme is "Unifying The Kingdom of God."
The topic for each service will be:
March 5 -- "A Worthy Calling" with the Rev. Adam Seate with St. Luke United Methodist Church as homilist and bishop Anthony Slater of Tehillah Church Ministries as leader.
March 12 -- "One Lord" with the Rev. Louis Leigh Jr. with First African Baptist Church as homilist and Lt. Julie Igleheart with the Salvation Army as leader.
March 19 -- "Given in Grace" with the Rev. Glenn Phillips with First Baptist Church as homilist and the Rev. George Cromwell with Antioch Baptist Church as leader.
March 26 -- "Gifts of God" with the Rev. Joe Jackson with Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church as homilist and the Rev. Fred Clarke with First Christian Church as leader.
April 2 -- "Speaking in Love" with the Rev. Jim Harry with St. Paul United Methodist Church as homilist and the Rev. Winford Galmon with Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church as leader.
April 9 -- "Be Kind to One Another" with the Rev. Nora Grantham with Phoebe Ministries as homilist and the Rev. Joann Turner with Saulston United Methodist Church as leader.
