A Goldsboro woman called 911 to report a man kicking in her door Sunday morning at 4:30 a.m., according to a Goldsboro police report.
Shannon Cobb, 27, 1800 E. Holly St., told police an acquaintance showed up at her door after she got home from a club.
He wanted to be let in. She refused.
The man, identified on the report as Domiko Darrell Davis, 35, of 416 Miller Ave., persisted.
He began to kick down her door.
Ms. Cobb called 911 as the man was breaking in, according to the report.
Once inside, he slapped her multiple times and placed his hands around her neck applying pressure.
Wayne County EMS responded. Ms. Cobb refused transport to Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She described Davis as a 6-foot-1-inch black man, bald, weighing 310 pounds and wearing a green hoodie.
He left running north.
Maj. Al King of the Goldsboro Police Department confirmed warrants have been secured on Davis.
