Timeline of Matthew Theurer case

January 2013 -- Theurer's wife, Amy Jo, moves back to their Indiana hometown -- leaving her estranged husband in charge of their son.
Feb. 15, 2013 -- Theurer comes home from his shift and finds his son "lifeless" on his bedroom floor. His attempts to resuscitate the boy fail.
Feb. 15, 2013 -- Theurer wraps his son in seven garbage bags, packs a suitcase and drives to Myrtle Beach, S.C. -- stopping only to dispose of the boy's remains.
March 12, 2013 -- Theurer tells a comrade, and authorities, what happened to his son. He is taken into custody and the toddler's remains are recovered.
July 2013 -- During an Article 32 hearing, it is decided that Theurer will be charged with, among other things, murder.
Monday -- Theurer confesses to starving "Little Matthew" to death.
