The family of Mount Olive murder victim Tyrone Beamon Jr. plans to match the $3,000 reward offered by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the double slaying of Beamon and his girlfriend, Shaundrea Juanette Milhouse, last month.
The bodies of the couple were discovered off Waller Road on Nov. 5.
Should the tip come through Crime Stoppers, and lead to a felony arrest, the total reward offered could amount to up to $7,000.
The bodies of Beamon, 27, and Ms. Milhouse, 21, of Knightdale, were found by his mother inside his home at 638 Waller Road after neither had been heard from for several days.
Inside the home, she also found the couple's two children, ages 1 and 3.
Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies responded and located both victims, bound, in a bathtub inside the home.
Authorities have not yet said how long the bodies lay undiscovered, and the cause of death has not been made public.
"We're waiting for the autopsy report to be released before we release that information," Maj. Tom Effler said.
While no suspect has been identified, Effler said investigators believe they know what happened inside the home where Beamon and Ms. Milhouse died.
Anyone with information regarding the murders is asked to contact The Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 919-731-1481, or call Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255. Text tips to 919-222-4230
