Entries are still being accepted for the Goldsboro Christmas Parade, which will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. Earlier reports had the time as 3 p.m., but officials with the Young Professionals, an arm of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the start time will indeed be 4 p.m.

Currently there are nearly 100 units signed up for the annual yule march and entries are still being taken. A late fee of $35 will be assessed until Friday. After Dec. 1, the late fee will increase to $50 and only the first 10 entries will be accepted.

The chamber is accepting registrations at its William Street office.

This year's Goldsboro parade theme is "A Story Book Christmas."

Floats can be modeled after a favorite Christmas book, movie or even song, but only one Santa will be allowed in the parade.

Also still to come are the Mount Olive Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and the Pikeville Christmas Parade on Dec. 15 beginning at 3 p.m.
