Thanksgiving brings closures

The city of Goldsboro will be closed for Thanksgiving this Thursday, and Friday. All sanitation services scheduled for Thanksgiving Day will be serviced on Wednesday. All sanitation services for Friday will be serviced on Saturday.
Customers of Carolina Southern Sanitation who normally receive service on Thursday will have their garbage collected on Friday. Those who normally have their garbage picked up on Friday will have it picked up on Saturday.
All Wayne County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday with the exception of the Dudley landfill and convenience sites that will be open on Friday.
Banks and federal government offices will be closed Thursday.
State offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Eureka Town Hall will be closed Thursday.
Town halls in Mount Olive, Pikeville and Walnut Creek will be closed Thursday and Friday. Information for Seven Springs was not available as of press time.
Mount Olive's recyclables center will be closed as well. Yard waste pickup will not be affected by the closing. However, Thursday's route will be run on Friday and Friday's on Saturday.
In Pikeville, trash will be picked up on Friday instead of Thursday. At Walnut Creek, trash will be collected on Tuesday and recyclables on Wednesday.
Wayne County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday through Friday, as will Wayne Community College.
