Sending greetings to heroes

Tamiyha Ingram, 4, signs a card for a soldier with the help of her sitter, Army retired veteran Nina Willis, on Friday at the North Carolina Community Federal Credit Union on Ash Street. The card will be sent to one of the many troops serving around the world as part of the Red Cross Holiday Mail for the Heroes. Nina Willis received cards like the one that she signed when she was serving in operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield. "They kept us going," she said. NCCFCU will be collecting the cards through Dec. 5.
