A hearing in Wayne County Superior Court is set for Oct. 1 in the first-degree murder case against Brenden Jamarin Pemberton, charged in the death of his 4-month-old son, Jaylin.
The hearing, initially set to monitor the release of the autopsy report, will now focus on potential bond conditions and the setting of a trial date, officials with the Wayne County District Attorney's Office said.
The autopsy report has since been released.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrested Pembrton, 22, July 3, more than one month after the infant was found unresponsive in his home at 115 Rhodes Drive.
Preliminary autopsy results given to investigators ruled the death a homicide.
