FAISON -- A Dudley man died in a single-vehicle accident near Faison early Sunday, according to the state Highway Patrol.
Jhonson Estime, 24, of 111 Running Deer Drive, apparently drove his vehicle off the left side of the highway and ran into a tree, investigators said.
The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m.
Estime was traveling north on U.S. 117 when the accident occurred. He was about two miles north of Faison.
Troopers estimated his speed at the time of the accident at 55 mph and said he was wearing a seatbelt at the time.
There were no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system, a Highway Patrol spokesman said.
